Brendan White - Piano
“Keep a lookout for Brendan White!” wrote conductor Alan Pierson after their performance of György Ligeti’s fiendish Piano Concerto. White is an active musician, appearing solo, in ensembles, and with orchestra in recital halls, churches, convention centers, schools, retirement communities and theaters.
In addition to the standard repertoire, White is an enthusiastic performer of contemporary music and has given several premieres. Among the composers he has worked with are Claude Baker, Stephen Rice, John Liberatore, Eugene Astapov, and Stylianos Dimou. White also has performed much ancient music, including being a part of the Eastman School of Music’s Collegium Musicum, conducted by renowned lutenist Paul O’Dette. In addition to his activities as a pianist, White has also performed as a conductor, organist, vocalist and percussionist.
White is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in piano performance from the University of Southern California, studying under Kevin Fitz-Gerald. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in piano from the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Thomas Schumacher.
