Isaac Pross is a sixteen year old, born and raised in Los Angeles. He started composing last year. From spending time hiking across Catalina Island to sitting in rush-hour traffic, he finds inspiration in the sounds of his surroundings. He’s written pieces about the effects of the drought in California, the brain condition aphasia after experiencing Kerry Tribe’s interactive gallery show, and is currently composing a piece about learning how to drive. Isaac is a sophomore at Crossroads School for the Arts & Sciences, and plays violin in the Elizabeth Mandell Music Institute. He studies composition with Dr. Ian Krouse and participates in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Associate Composers Program for 2015-2016.
