Cécilia Tsan - Cello
Praised by the L.A. Times for “her virtuosity and the charisma of her musical personality,” French cellist Cécilia Tsan graduated from the Paris Conservatory and is a prizewinner at various international competitions. She has recorded several CDs and hundreds of film scores. Recent performances include the Elgar and Brahms Double Concertos, the world premiere of Eric Tanguy’s piano trio, written for her, and his second concerto. Ms. Tsan is the principal cellist for the Long Beach Symphony and L.A. Master Chorale, additionally having served as principal cellist for the Oscars and the Emmys. She is the artistic director for the Mount Wilson music series, and in April this year, she was the narrator in Stravinsky’s Perséphone with the L.A. Philharmonic, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Peter Sellars.
