Andrew Courtney

Andrew Courtney is a junior in the pianist program at the Orange County School of the Arts in Southern California.  He has been composing for 5 years, studied the piano for 12 years and sung with the All-American Boys Chorus for 8 years. As a composer, Andrew has had multiple pieces performed, notably several arrangements for the All-American Boys Chorus.  He participated in a masterclass with Narong Prangcharoen, composer in residence for the Pacific Symphony.  He has spent two summers at California Summer Music, where he studied with Aaron Jay Kernis. In 2016, he was selected for the Sunset ChamberFest Young Composer’s Workshop. Earlier this year, Andrew was awarded Honorable Mention in the Frost Composition Competition and in the Webster University Young Composer Competition.
