Alejandro Duque - Viola
Originally hailing from Austin, Texas, Alejandro Duque is an accomplished young violist currently pursuing a Master of Music Degree at the University of Texas under the mentorship of Roger Myers.
Alejandro has performed at numerous prestigious international music festivals such as the Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, New York String Orchestra Seminar, Dartington Summer School, and Franco-Americaine Recontre de Musique de Chambre. He has also collaborated and performed with contemporary music ensembles at UT and USC, the LA-based ensemble What’s Next?, and currently the Austin Symphony.
He has participated in masterclasses and coachings with such renowned artists as Peter Salaff, Peter Stumpf, Donald Weilerstein, Pamela Frank, Christoph Eschenbach, Kim Kashkashian, Carrie Dennis, and the Miro, Takacs, and Tokyo quartets. Alejandro received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Southern California under the tutelage of famed viola teacher Donald McInnes.
